Welcome!

Are you considered successful in many aspects of your life, but still feeling unfulfilled, alone, or lost?

Perhaps you’re struggling to overcome certain mental blocks that seemingly stand in the way of the relationships, career, or sense of well-being that you crave? Or maybe you’re overwhelmed trying to process a tough issue in your life right now?

It doesn’t have to be that way.

You deserve to live the life you really want —to tackle the patterns that are no longer serving you, to process the past, and to confront your deep desires. That’s where therapy comes in. Empower yourself by giving your mental wellness the space and support it really needs.

We are honored to work with a broad array of people and concerns.

Individual Adults and Teens

Our first step is to talk about what you hope to achieve through therapy. With an eye on your goals (which may shift over time), we explore present-day issues as well as early childhood experiences that may have formed a blueprint for your relationships and way of being in the world. As your self-awareness and self-esteem grow, so will your ability to create an authentic and joyful life! Among the topics we might explore:

Addiction & substance use

Aging

Anxiety

Career & educational transitions

Chronic illness

Depression

Eco-anxiety/climate distress

Grief

Parenting

Pregnancy & postpartum

Relationships

Self-esteem

Sexuality & gender identity (LGBTQ+)

Sleep problems

Trauma

Couples

As with individuals, our work with couples first involves understanding your goals for therapy. We’ll also spend time early on talking about the important relationships that helped shape each of you. Children are born with an essential need to attach to a parent or caregiver for their survival, and the sense of security they feel forms a playbook of sorts for how they will interact in future relationships. Your “attachment history,” as it is known, becomes a foundation for our work together. Among the challenges we might address:

Addictions

Communication

Cultural conflict

Divorce & separation, including co-parenting & blended families

Life transitions, such as marriage, having children, moving, or changing career

Parenting

Trauma

Trust

Emotional distance

Extended family

Infidelity

Intimacy issues

Sleep Therapy

Sleep is so critical to a good life. We’re here to help if it is eluding you!

Among the interventions we offer is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which the American College of Physicians endorses as the first-line treatment for adults with chronic insomnia.

CBT-I typically takes place over six to ten sessions. During this short-term treatment, we will address multiple factors contributing to your sleep issues, such as thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We apply techniques including stimulus control, sleep restriction, and relaxation training that will contribute to more restful and better-quality sleep. Before you know it, your slumber will be dreamy and delicious — and bedtime a time of renewal and joy, not despair and loneliness!
