Effect of a Web-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia Intervention with 1-year Follow-Up: A Randomized Clinical Trial
We will be joined online by author Dr. Francis Thorndike
Dr. Thorndike completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at American University and a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral health and technology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Her extensive experience has focused on developing and evaluating digital health therapeutics, including collaborations for an Internet intervention to service members with PTSD related to the 9-11 attack on the Pentagon and co-investigation for multiple NIH-funded studies at the University of Virginia Health System (UVA) utilizing technology to increase access to treatment. Most recently, she joined Pear Therapeutics at the Global Clinical Lead for Insomnia, where she is helping Pear bring a digital therapeutic for insomnia through FDA for regulatory review. Frances helped develop and evaluate digital therapeutics for insomnia based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia and will be describing the most recently completed NIH-funded study for adults with chronic insomnia. Eric Zhou, PhD;
Dr. Zhou is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School and a Staff Psychologist at Boston Children's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. His research has focused on how we can better understand and treat sleep disorders in pediatric and adult populations. This research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and multiple foundations.
